2012 Blankets Creek Half Marathon and 10K Waiver

Race Schedule - Saturday November 10th

6:30 - 8:00 am Check-In
8:15 am Race Brief
8:30 am Half Marathon Race Start
8:35 am 10K Race Start
8:45 am Free 12 and Under Kids Race

Directions to Blankets Creek Trails

From the south, take I-575 north to exit 11, Sixes Road. Turn left onto Sixes Road and go approximately 1.7 miles to Blankets Creek Trails, which will be on the left. The trails are just past the Cherokee Charter Academy School, on the opposite side of the road.

T-Shirts

If you register after Nov 1st, 2012, shirt sizes are first come-first served, in unisex sizing only. If we run out of wicking tees in your preferred size, you will have the option to choose one of our cotton blend logo tees instead.

Race Scoring

New for 2012 - Chip Timing using MyLaps Bibtag Technology and our Real Time Results System. See your placing in your category and finish time right after you cross the line!

Awards

In addition to prizes and medals for the top 3 overall male and female, medals will be presented to the top 3 finishers in each age category. All of our first place winners (overall and age group) in the half marathon and 10K will receive a custom podium shirt or visor. All half marathon finishers will receive a custom finisher medal.

The awards ceremony for the 10K race will take place at approximately 10 am. The awards ceremony for the half marathon race will take place at approximately 11:30 am to allow the majority of half marathon racers to finish. You must be present at the awards ceremony to receive your award. Awards and prizes will not be mailed. If you win something and bail on the awards ceremony, your prize will be added to the raffle goodies pile or given to a race volunteer.

If you finish the race after the awards ceremony but earn a medal in your category, you will receive your medal as you finish.

Kids Race

We will also offer a FREE kids 12 and under race, which will be approximately one half mile long. All kids race participants will receive a finisher medal. The kids race is not officially timed and no pre-registration is required.

Inclement Weather

The race will run rain or shine, however, the Race Director reserves the right to cancel or modify segments of the event as deemed necessary for participant safety. No refunds will be given in the event of an act of God that requires cancellation of the race for the saftey of participants. Once the race has started, no refunds will be given due to delayed start or early conclusion of the race.
