Race Course

4 Mile Course

The short course is approximately 4.5 miles and will include Moore's Pass, Powerhouse, and Raceway Trails in a clockwise direction. These are commonly referred to as "The Mill" trails. Runners will not be using the Turbine Trail, instead you will head straight back on Moore's Pass and head to the finish. This is a great course for first time trail runners as the tread is fairly smooth and wide, while the overall grades are fairly moderate.

10 Mile Course

The long course is a bit over 10 miles and will include Moore's Pass, Powerhouse, and Raceway Trails in a clockwise direction. These are commonly referred to as "The Mill" trails. Runners will not be using the Turbine Trail, instead you will head straight back on Moore's Pass and head to the the second loop, which will consist of Loop 1, 2, and 3 on Avalanche in a counter-clockwise direction.

Both courses are on rolling terrain. The first 4.5 miles offers more moderate grades and a wider trail to make passing easy. The second half of the long course is on narrower, twistier trail but all grades are still runnable.

There is one aid station on the long course, and it is at Mile 4.5 as runners cross back through Rope Mill Park. The aid station will have water, Torq Energy Drink and Torq Gels.

Because these trails are all directional bike trails, you will not be able to "legally" run the entire course in the race direction on the same day. Please run opposite the daily bike direction and always check sorbawoodstock.org for trail open/closed status before heading out.
